Frequently Asked Questions
What can CoinLens identify?
CoinLens can analyze coins and stamps from a photo, then estimate country or issuer, year or date range, denomination, material, condition, and notable details.
Is the value range an official appraisal?
No. Reference values are catalog-style estimates only. They are not appraisals, sale offers, investment advice, or guarantees.
Should I sell a collectible based on CoinLens?
No. For high-value items, consult a certified dealer or grading service before buying, selling, or insuring the item.
Why does CoinLens ask for two coin photos?
Coins often need obverse and reverse details for reliable identification. Stamps can usually be analyzed from one photo.
Is my collection photo stored on your servers?
No. Photos are sent for AI analysis and discarded after the response is delivered. Portfolio entries stay on your device.
How do I cancel or refund a subscription?
Subscriptions and refunds are handled by Apple. Go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device, or contact Apple Support directly.
